Welcome to Middle-earth! We have been online since 2003 and are proud to be one of the few Lord of the Rings fansites that still exists and updates as well as to have never ever gone on a hiatus! Middle-earth is well known for its family friendly forum, wealth of original avatars, and fun interactivity which includes contests, roleplaying, and games - all of which are Tolkien themed.
It is a happy day indeed for a very dear friend from long ago has returned to Middle-earth and the Lord of the Rings web community - Eruadan! Eruadan was the owner of a most beautiful website called Dreams of the Fourth Age and it was a very sad day when it disappeared from the net as so many great Lord of the Rings fansites have vanished. But today I am happy to announce to you all that Dreams of the Fourth Age has returned in all its splendor! You can visit it now at dreams.eruadan.net. Do give him a warm welcome!

Fall is my favorite season! Beautiful changes come with fall, both in the weather and our lives. And today... some Autumn additions:

Hey everyone, • I finally got round 18 of the guess who contest open so those of you who've been waiting to play can submit your guesses. :) The awards for the winners will be sent out momentarily. Thanks to all of you who played this round! • I also believe I solved the commenting problem on the updates. Anyone should be able to leave their comments now. • I do have a backlog of various contest entries, but I will get those up later. Soon though. I do have them and will get them up when I have more time. Sorry for the delay!

At last (much faster than expected) the revamp of Middle-earth is complete! As you can see, the entire look and layout is bran new! I also added several new features. Following is a list of some of the new additions: • The Aragorn Crown Awards are open again for nominees! • The poetry contest now has a submit form for easier entering. • New humorous pictures. • I created a new game - ring pong! • New Affiliates request form. • The screencaps gallery has a new setup. • And you can now add comments on the updates.
